CORONAVIRUS: A POLITICAL VIRUS?

The worldwide fear of the Covid is spreading like a boom whereas in the entire world even at this peak of time we have the political leaders of our countries who don’t believe in political unity but they believe in shifting the accountability to the government and the ruling leaders.

On Saturday, the senior Congress leader expressed his grief towards the lockdown executed by the nation against the prime minister stating that “you cannot have lockdown of people and lockout of the economy”.

In the video of a group meeting released by the congress party, our former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh slammed the government over the blocking of the dearness allowances to the country servers. He further contradicted the government by saying “I sincerely believe it is not necessary at this stage to impose hardships on government servants and also on the armed forces people.”

In the same video released we evidently captured the words of the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi while he pointed out the government blaming them as “You are taking away money from the middle class, you are not giving money to poor people and you are spending it on your central vista”.

On Thursday, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackery wrote to the chief minister of Maharashtra where he suggested the CM to re-open the liquor shops violating the lockdown announced by the Prime Minister in Maharashtra for the sake of increasing revenue which had declined due to the lockdown and the treatment of the coronavirus infection.

On Saturday, the Rajya Sabha leader of Trinamool Congress Derek O’Brien blamed the Inter-Ministerial (IMCT) for a meaningless visit to Bengal. He explained himself by saying that they only visited assessing the areas which were corona-free and sent the results to the Centre. Further, he expressed his grief by slamming the abbreviation of IMCT as ‘I MUST CAUSE TROUBLE’. He further hit out his disappointment by tweeting its real aim was to spread a political virus.

Likewise, even the politicians of the World’s most developed and greatest countries like The United States of America, Brazil, and China also for that matter couldn’t escape the clutches of the deadly virus.

American president Donald Trump said in one of his speeches former American lockdown that people die every year and hence America wouldn’t lockdown because America wouldn’t bear an economic downfall.

Now, latter as the citizens complain being locked up in the houses and pressurize the government to end the lockdown through social media and protests. We witness it that Trump agrees to unconfined the lockdown soon and oppositions point it out as an irresponsible presidential act or a strategized act by the president to gain people’s trust for the sake of the United States Presidential election, 2020 violating his social responsibilities towards the country and the citizens.

The Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro refuses to accept the research-based scientific facts and the outbreak of the Covid. Further, he has been condemned to coat his revolutions behind the incapable functioning of the government. On a shocking public meeting on the streets of Brasília’s street markets where he showcased his agreement to allow people to go back to work again. This decree depicted nothing more than unlawful utilization of power and defying constitutive obligations.

China, which is one of the greatest exporting outhouses which also proved to be the overseas exporter of this terrifying epidemic called the coronavirus. It is inevitable to mention how flabbergasting it was when the whole world was locked under the claws of a pandemic while the towns and cities near the birthplace of the virus Wuhan remain unaffected. However, the citizens of China show signs of disappointment with the Chinese Communist Party.

Never did anyone imagine that we would have gotten in a state where humans would be home caged all over the planet. What makes this situation tougher is not the spreading or the speeding of the virus, not even the fear of lost economy but lack of unity, misuse of power, and politicization of public health and trust. The government is elected for people to believe in them, they trust the politicians with the well-being of the country and the countrymen. In this period of downfall, descent, and death, to keep the self-esteem of the country high, moral support of the Government is as necessary as much as the medical facilities. Some people continue to play the dirty blame game and continue their deterioration of human life in spite of the power in their hands. I am not only centralizing the politicians but every such person who plays a role in operating the dirty politics. I put forth a petition to them:

WHAT IS THE FEAR OF COVID ACTUALLY?
