The Bharatiya Janata Party’s wingspan is stretching across the country with states like J&K, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Manipur and Haryana providing their support.
Who’s the charmer?
Although NaMo is a definite contributor, you cannot ignore the latent brain at the back: Amit Shah.
So who is this mastermind?
Amit Anilchandra Shah (born: 22 October 1964) is an Indian politician who is currently serving as President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and as a member of the Rajya Sabha.
Modi and Shah turned into close associates when the former was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Shah was handling 12 portfolios of the NaMo government which was the initial cause; however, their similar ideologies were the prime catalyst in strengthening their future bond. They are widely described as Chandragupta and Chanakya as the latter helped the king with his affairs.
Shah believes that the core strength of any organisation is its grassroots-level workers. For example when he entrusted Shyam Jaju (a local leader) with major duties like media relations in the Delhi MCD polls.
This modern-day Chanakya is malevolent with his ideologies by being a doer rather than most talkers in the political field. Shah is in this field to not achieve political recognition but to make India a global leader.
Amit Shah by his theoretical means focuses on connecting with the youth. His idea is being backed up by our Prime Minister as they revolutionised a generational change in the party (BJP) which in turn promotes the idea of a younger force in the government altogether. Thus overthrowing the concept of seniority and opting for performance. The waves of change are flowing in the states. More youthful candidates are being opted for older ones. Yogi Adityanath (UP) (46), Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra) (47), Jitu Vagahni (Gujarat), Nityanand Rai (Bihar). These leaders are being observed and only time will declare the verdict; which ones of these sustain when the next generational realignment takes place in the BJP.
Shah directs the BJP workers and cadres to not only visit each and every house on a regular basis to educate about the Modi government’s achievements and principles but also to make sure every legal voter participates in the elections. Under Shah’s political leadership the BJP managed to become the ‘largest political organisation’ in the world as more than 10 crore members were shown to have enrolled in the party.
Relentless power-packed campaigns are initiated by him which is another reason behind BJP’s triumph in states. Amit Shah prefers to use the mode of rallies to update the citizens with the achievements of the government. He has conducted more than 100 rallies through a month-long campaign and always has a fitting response to every SP-Congress processions. Shah initiated ‘Parivartan Yatra’ during Uttarakhand elections which turned the tide in the favour of BJP along with other successful campaigns held in Allahabad and Varanasi.
Shah expanded the BJP’s wingspan from two crores to eleven crores, leading to a vast network of pro-Modi force. He is said to have taken Modi’s vision forward and has been behind him like a rock. Even though critics take his rise in the BJP to his proximity with the Prime Minister as a cause, his sharp and resourceful wisdom has as much to enrich his position in the party presently. The 110 -day national tour undertaken by him is such event to amplify BJP’S reach across the length and breadth of the nation.
A simple man who stays back to handle responsible tasks when Modi is overseas with his sharp wit and farsight. Being the hidden mastermind by delivering astounding ideas as his brainchildren to keep BJP’s flag high.
