IT’S ALL ABOUT FOCUS

In this corona outbreak or even sometimes generally we have no control over our mood, irrelevant thoughts that pop into our heads. It is absolutely okay to feel low or think negatively sometimes but we should always remember that if a thought that hardly lasts for a nanosecond creates such a mess in our mind then what would a positive thought and thinking about the virtues of happiness in our life possibly create. It’s natural to imagine ourselves or our near and dear in a situation that is hypothetical and bad but we should always remember that it’s just an imagination and nothing else.

What’s most important is our focus, for example if we are truly in love with anyone then we tend to ignore their dark sides or bad habits because we have accepted them as they are yet we love them with full heart .Similarly if we will focus upon the positive aspects of our life , think about present , focus upon the things that really matters to us then our positivity will outshine our negative parts and thoughts.
“Turn your face toward the sun, and the shadows will fall behind you.”
If we regularly think that life is difficult, we’ll begin to believe that life is difficult and we’ll see life as being difficult. Our perception of life will be that it’s difficult. Our thoughts and beliefs will then mirror that perception and it all starts with a simple thought process.
“Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.”

Most of the people think that building a positive framework of thoughts is about being bubbly and annoyingly jolly rather than actually making an investment in ourselves and our future. Adapting a positive outlook in our lives does not involve ignoring the unpleasant parts of your life rather accepting both good and bad parts and choosing to be optimistic.
Most of us have the habit of seeing the events as highly personal like something that has happened to us. If the event was unfair or has ruined our plans then it enables all kinds of hard feelings and emotional breakdown. We should practice to think as an outside observer or the reader of an interesting novel or as if we are watching a film. Hardly anything in our life happens according to our expectations and if it doesn’t happen as we expect then we open the floor to disappointment, resentment and unhappiness. Rather we should accept the event for what it is, maybe it’s more than our expectations but we can’t see it.

We can be positive while focusing on what we are doing, practicing concentration exercises, doing meditation. Although a positive personality is something we are born with but we change sometimes due to unpleasant circumstances however we can develop positivity by smiling more even fake smiles would help to reduce blood pressure in stressful conditions. We can choose to be positive in some conditions we have no control over for example if we are stuck in a traffic jam instead of worrying about getting late, we can be grateful about finding time to listen to our favourite music. We should work more on building strong relations with our family and friends, and work on resolving our problems rather than waiting for them to escape. Visualize bright light, full of life, happiness and positive vibrations, filling your body and the place where you are.

“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”
