The Ram Nath Politics

We the young aware Indians, live in the age of discovery and dreams. To become a developed nation, we need to contribute to the best of his or her capacity and ability. Unfortunately, we have underplayed in the field of politics! Young people posses energy which needs to be channelized in the right direction.

While Ram Nath Kovind and Meira Kumari are both are Dalit leaders, Ram Nath Kovind has bagged the winning title and is now elected as the 14th President of Independent India; the occupant of the House on Raisina Hill in Delhi.

Ram Nath Kovind , the man from Uttar Pradesh, who is also a lawyer (practiced in High Court and Supreme Court for 16 years) entered politics in 1994. He was a Dalit leader who was elected as the Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh who he served for 12 years (i.e two consecutive terms ).He also served as the personal assistant of Prime Minister – Morarji  Desai. He was the Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017. Mr. Nath served as a member of the Board of Management of  Dr. Ambedkar University, Lucknow & member of the Board of Governors of IIM-Kolkata. He enjoys support of BJP and its allies & Shiv Sena, as he is NDA candidate. He not only represented our country but also addressed the General Assembly in United Nations,  New York in October 2002.

Ram Nath had majority of votes in his favor (17 big & small parties) with the backing of BJP, its allies and several small parties like JD(U), BJD, TRS, AIADMK and YSR Congress to name a few. With their votes summing up to a large 65 per cent, the results were certain and pre-cognitive. While Kumari has had a reputation to beat Dalit stalwarts like Mayawati and Ram Vilas, her magic could not recreate the past. The win of Mr. Nath, is the first for a leader reared in RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), the ideological mentor of Modi’s ruling BJP and its affiliates.

Politicians in close races in order to attract few additional votes promise to improve a specific problem that an interested group cares about the most, but once elected, don’t turn up or simply disavow. Hope that the elected President is well versed and the one that fulfills one’s promises. The President has a key role, especially during political crises.  All eyes are on Ram Nath and his future actions now.   Let’s see what this man has in store for us. He is all set to transform India in all positive means. We hope that India emerges as a well developed Nation, as visualized by late former President, APJ Abdul Kalam (India 2020)
