THE REFERENDUM COMBAT OF THE GREY-BEARDS

PART-2

The novel Corona virus is all ready to shoot its next shot in America through the 2020 Presidential Elections. When people are locked at home and social distancing is the norm, how will the US allow the voters to cast and conduct elections?

Different ways of voting without breaking the practice of Social Distancing:

The 59th US Presidential Election, scheduled on November 3rd shows no sign of delay, even with the increasing number of Corona cases. Hence, it becomes necessary to organize the elections that reach out to the public and covers the ballet cast results in a free and fair manner. The US elections can consider voting by mail with subject to all the terms and conditions, without making any changes to the votes of the public and availing it to all the eligible citizens of the country. The mail-in voting method is adopted by many states in the United States and has got positive responses. However, ballet polls are still an open option for the upcoming elections amidst proper precautions and sanitizations. Online voting will technology-oriented and will also allow the first-time voters to contribute. However, a very high-tech system and unblockable voting software is highly necessary. Legal Impact of the  Black Lives Matter (BLM) Movement:

The Black Lives Matter protest of July 6, 2020 is going to play a huge role in the electoral polls of 2020. This heated historical movement began 7 years ago in the United States, when a Black man was beaten by an American officer brutally to death. However, this year history repeated itself and the people outraged their anger when an American police officer was caught hitting an African American to death.  Former Vice President, Mr. Joe Biden strongly supported the movement and promised the people to take serious actions to put forth strict laws, to abolish racism and white superiority in the country. Not only this, but the Democrats were witnessed campaigning with anti-racist symbols and raising slogans against racial injustice, winning the hearts of the civilians and hence, votes. The BLM movement might prove to be a game-changer in the USA Presidential Elections 2020.

The Republicans and the Democrats are all set to run the country with their policies but this time the country needs a change. A change in the favour of the civilians. A change that makes them feel safe not just in words but in their way of living. A change in atmosphere is required, where human beings are treated equally, which treats the animals and the unspoken creatures, like a beautiful creation of God. A change that punishes discrimination and misogyny.

It’s a matter of living, making a living, and giving a living to the ones who cannot directly vote. Use your power wisely!
